Proposed higher education cuts and university athletics review — October 5, 2009
Arizona Board of Regents
President Ernest Calderon says proposed 15% cuts to the state’s university system for 2010-2011 would be a huge blow to higher education in this state. Calderon hopes Arizona residents will rally to the state’s three universities in sending a message to lawmakers that higher education is an economic engine that must be protected. Calderon is also spearheading a wide-ranging review of university athletics.
