The aspirations are high for Tucson Cine Mexico, a film festival that will be taking place during the span of the next two weekends.

The University of Arizona Hanson Film Institute is sponsoring the event as part of it's mission to serve the community. The goal is to make this yearly festival highlighting the best in contemporary Mexican film, and outstanding examples of from the past, the premiere event of its type in the United States.

Mexican Film is now experiencing a renaissance, and in this story we learn about the festival, some of the people involved in putting it together, and we preview the films that will be screened.
