Science Center
What does the future hold? — March 5, 2009
Due to a decrease in financial resources, the University of Arizona and the City of Tucson are postponing a multi-million dollar proposal for downtown Tucson as part of an area revitalization plan.
The UA had been considering a project to build the Science Center and Arizona State Museum just west of I-10 and south of Congress at a cost of about $130 million. However, that'll have to wait as a result of legislative cutbacks and a bad economy and area residents are very upset since they have been waiting patiently for the renovation projects to move forward.
