Millions of people around the world are trying to save resources and protect the environment and they say one of the best ways to do it is to construct homes and other buildings that consume less energy, reuse materials and provide other environmentally-friendly features.

Tony Paniagua visits an experimental home in Southeast Tucson, as well as the new learning center at Reid Park Zoo, which has obtained LEED Platinum status from the U.S. Green Building Council.
