Going high-tech — June 16, 2009
Sculptor Steven Derks used to spend most of his work time outside, welding abstract objects. But lately he's been indoors, also working but now in front of a computer.
Through his Facebook account, he is coordinating meetings with possible buyers and fellow artists for upcoming shows. It was the recession that forced Derks to look at the Internet to promote his art.
Sooyeon Lee tells us how artists are adapting to the social networking website for their business.
