Global Warming
How it will affect poor societies — August 10, 2009
Dr. Diana Liverman, co-director of University of Arizona Institute of the Environment and Society, is author of a commentary on a recent Oxfam International report that concludes poor countries have a much harder time adapting to climate change. Dr. Liverman acknowledges Americans remain divided over whether they believe effects of global warming have started to occur. Dr. Liverman says University of Arizona is committed to area of climate change and the environment.
